Jett’s Flight to Recovery #Fighterjett

Jett Joseph Hall was born on November 10th, 2017. He is, and always has been, a smiley, happy, engaged little boy.

On March 13th, Jett went into Heart Failure. After a "normal" doctor visit, his family knew something wasn't right when they got home. He was rushed to a local Philadelphia hospital where he needed CPR and was immediately transferred to Al DuPont Hospital.

Jett was quickly put on ECMO, a treatment that uses a pump to circulate blood through an artificial lung back into the bloodstream of a very ill baby. This system provides heart-lung bypass support outside of the baby's body. He underwent several treatments and procedures and began to respond. He started to wake up, smile, laugh, and eat.

And then, without any warning, his body again started to fail him and he was placed once more on ECMO.

Without a diagnosis, and hoping for a miracle, Jett's parents reached out to every resource and as of April 18th, had him transferred to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

What we know: #fighterjett is currently being confirmed for a mutation of Long QT type 2 that mimics Brugada Syndrome. He is not responding to "normal" treatments and the CHOP team is working diligently to save his heart while also exploring transplant options.

Jett's parents have been beside him every day, staying in tiny chairs and staying positive. As an owner of a Gym/Training Center, Ed (Jett's dad) has dedicated his life to helping other kids and adults be the healthiest version of themselves mentally and physically. But he has not been able to see a client or actively work as long as his son is fighting for his life. His mom Kate has taken leave from work as well.

This is going to be a long road for this family. Medical expenses, recovery therapies, and money associated with his treatments and their being out is a lot for a family with usually simple expenses.

We are asking our community and extensions thereof to share this story, and particularly the hashtag #fighterjett.

The family has not asked for ANYTHING except prayer. But we know what lies ahead and we want them to feel the same support from others as they're giving their son. We want to raise funds that will help "Jett's Flight to Recovery."

We appreciate any and all donations , prayers, and visits . Thank you all so much !
