JETAA TEXOMA Hurricane Relief Fund

The events of Hurricane Harvey have left many dealing with extensive damage and even total destruction of their home and property. The Japan Exhange in Teaching Alumni Association of Texas and Oklahoma and its membership were not spared from this tragedy.
JET alumni have reported evacuation from flooded houses. This is a trying time for all of us, but our purpose as an association largely rests on our ability to support our fellow JET alumni. In that spirit, we are requesting donations to help those JETA affected by Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath. We do not know the extent of damage yet, or their specific needs, but the faster we begin collecting funds for distribution the quicker we can respond to the needs of those JETA. All fund will be kept in the TEXOMA Chapter bank account for dispersal. It is not the intent of TEXOMA to keep any of these funds, and any additional funds will be sent to like-minded Harvey recovery efforts.
At a time when so many people need help, it is both humbling and inspiring to receive the support you are so willing to give. Thank you.
