Jerry's emergency procedure

Hello Everybody,

This lovely cat you see in the photo is, Jerry!

He is a 5 year old Brown short hair cat, and the eye of the world to his mom, Mallory.

As some of you may already know, Jerry is the most friendly, comforting, and almost dog-like, cat owned by Mallory.

He loves to be cuddled, he likes to play, and defintely loves to talk.

Recently we found that he is not doing well. The veterinarian believes he is suffering from chylothorax. According to Wikipedia it is: A chylothorax (or chyle leak) is a type of pleural effusion. It results from lymph formed in the digestive system called chyle accumulating in the pleural cavity due to either disruption or obstruction of the thoracic duct.

In short, fluid is developing inside his chest. This fluid is causing strain and tension, causing pressure on his lungs and at times his heart.

We took him to the pet clinic here at omaha nebraska, and found out he has a fever, along with white blood cells. Which is not a good thing.

Today we were explained to us, that his only option is to take a visit to the Vet ER here in Omaha. There they want to start a 3 day plan of doing all sorts of tests, like bloodwork, consistent IV fluids, pull more fluid out, test the fluid, a 3 day stay, and much more.

Unfortunately, the bill for this 3 day excursion is expected to reach the 3000 dollar mark. 3630 dollars to be exact. And at the moment that is just not a possibility.

So right now. We are asking all of Jerry's friends and fans, supporting cast, and endearing souls, to help muster up a couple bucks, to assist jerry in making a recovery.

we understand 3630 dollars is a tall order, but together we can certainly aide jerry in giving him another few years with his mom.
