Jeremy was a young man with potential. In his hay day, he had broken physical records of strength in his school. Being a loving uncle, friend, and mentor to young kids.
Starting October of 2015 things were changing with his health. His health started to deteriorate slowly and he had to quit work. He was becoming weak and started to lose interests in the things he loved. After many trips to the hospital and visits to different medical professionals, he was finally diagnosed with an aggressive form of multiple sclerosis in August of this year.
Since this diagnosis he has been persevering in the best way he can. Researching the best way to combat this disease and staying strong while being hospitalized many times because of complications to the MS.
Jeremy started medication to treat his MS and it has not been working. Jeremy's doctors had suggested a very expensive treatment plan that lasts five years and if the necessary precautions aren't taken he can develop cancer, melanoma, lymphoma and is more susceptible to develop infections that can lead to his death.
His family and friends are starting this gofundme campaign to raise funds to make sure he has the best foot forward to recover and heal from MS so he can continue his life and continue to enrich the lives around him.
We plan to use the funds to sterilize his environment and cover all his medical expenses as the treatment without insurance is $100,000 without insurance and that is the medication alone. Now, with the possible repeal of the Affordable Care Act, Jeremy will no longer have the health insurance he needs to cover his medical expenses.
