Jenkins Women Tornado Relief Fund
Donation protected
My mom and sister, Catherine & Amber Jenkins, lost their home and alot of their belongings in the EF4 Tornado that destroyed many homes in the Garland area last night, December 26.
Amber is a paraplegic, paralyzed from the shoulders down and her mom is her full time care-taker. During the Tornado her mom threw herself on top of her daughter and used cardboard to shelter from The glass and debris. They had to get out quickly as there was gas leaking. Thank the Lord they are safe and unharmed. The storm took just about everything but their lives. The entire back of their rental house was ripped off, their garage ripped apart and MiniVan damaged but salvagable with repairs. Amber's specialized wheelchair is bent and severely damaged, making her accessibility very difficult. They are currently staying with family and trying to get clothing donations, as they left their house with nothing but the pajamas on their backs. Authorities are not letting residents get to their homes yet so anything that was left salvagable is being stormed on.
Donations will be used to replace items of basic necessities for daily life, repairing and replacing medical equipment and expenses toward getting back into a home.
Please consider helping if you are able, sharing is also very appreciated, and most of all keep them and all of the other tornado victims in your prayers. Thank you so much for all of your help, love & support!
