Near the end of 2018, 34-year-old Jen Broxterman was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. In December, she underwent a massive surgery to remove her entire reproductive system, as well as a large piece of her colon and some of her bladder.

To say this woman—a Registered Dietician and former competitive CrossFit athlete (Canada East individual regionals competitor) and varsity rower—is brave is the understatement of the year. She has been very open and public about her fight, often sharing candid stories that both inspire and leave you in tears. You can follow her story as she continues to battle stage 3 ovarian cancer on IG @nutrition_rx or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/jbroxterman1

She's impossible not to want to help!

In light of this, Jen's community at CrossFit London in Ontario is hosting a fundraiser this Saturday, January 5th to raise money for Jen (thanks Sean Sinclair for organizing), who is self-employed via her company Nutrition Rx. She also happens to be one of the hardest working business woman I know!

Though most of us don't live in London, I know there are many people, especially the fitnessy folks out there, who would like to show their support.

The task is simple: Challenge yourself to a one-minute max calorie row or max calorie airdyne bike and donate the number of calories you completed in dollars. Super simple: 20 calories = A $20 donation. If you don't have a rowing machine or airbike, then do max burpees in one minute. So fun, right?

And even if you can't donate money, do the challenge and post a picture of video of yourself to social media with the hashtags #jensfightgoneright and #beatcancer. I know Jen will appreciate watching people go nuts for one minute in her honour.

The funds are going to purchase a motorless treadmill so Jen can get her rehab on (she suffered nerve damage during her surgery and couldn't walk for a couple weeks post-surgery). Beyond that, any remaining money goes directly to Jen who is off work, and being self-employed, well, you know how that goes...

I'm beyond grateful for everyone willing to suffer through 1 minute of pain from an all-out effort on the bike, rower, or death by burpees. [thank you!]

Please take pictures/videos of your 1 Minute Challenge, and share on social media using the hashtags #jensfightgoneright and #beatcancer.

If you can also please share this GoFundMe link with your post ( https://goo.gl/qtDuUM), we'd appreciate it very much to help spread the word!

Big hugs of gratitude to you all!
xo Jen
