Lindsay Diaz who works at DFW Airport was one of the victims of the December 26th tornado which rolled through Rowlett, TX. She has a newborn baby and just had surgery this past Monday. Her house and car were extensively damaged by the tornado. She is currently staying with family members, but is needing help on rebuilding her life. Monetary donations as well as prayers are appreciated immensely.

Last week, Lindsay received a phone call stating that her damaged home had been wrongly demolished. This was a mistake made by a local demolition company. There were items in Lindsay's house that were still salvageable, but which are now gone. At first, the demolition company was rude to Lindsay stating that there was nothing they could do, tough luck, and that they were not going to be responsible for this error. They have since apologized via email. We have started a hashtag in hopes of sharing Lindsay's story and creating awareness:
‪#‎rebuildforlindsay‬. Thank you to all of those that have donated your time, money, and prayers.

My situation just got a little harder as of March 22nd, when a demolition company mistakenly demolished my home. It was severely damaged from the tornado on December 26, 2015 but was repairable. We just submitted the permit to build and I was so excited to begin the journey to rebuilding my life. So quickly did that come to an end! I was hoping to spend my son's first birthday in a new home but will have to celebrate it in a rental home instead. I appreciate everyone's support through this hard time, without you, I would probably lose hope. I have created a twitter account so you can follow me at @RowlettMistake and use the hashtag #rebuildforlindsay on Twitter and Facebook. Thank you all again and we will keep you updated on how our life progresses towards rebuild.

Hello all, I just wanted to thank everyone again for your donations to help rebuild my life. I am extremely under insured and your contributions will help tremendously. FEMA has denied the individual assistance for the victims of this tornado but the Governor has 30 days to file an appeal. Channel 8 News has interviewed me on how I feel about FEMA's decision and it will air tonight at 5pm. I hope that you all can check it out!
