Mission Trip To Vietnam

Dear Family and Friends.
My team will travel to Vietnam this summer 2016 for a mission trip. I would like, in this letter, to share with you a little more about this trip, how I have come to this point in answering God's call in my life and how you can support me to get there.
First, my name Cher Toua Yang. I am a pastor for a small congregation church called “Hmong Baptist Fellowship Church”. Rev. Cher Toua Yang served as Pastor from 1993 with 4 difference Hmong Churches around the United States. Rev. Cher Toua Yang called to be Pastor for Hmong Baptist Fellowship Church from August 2015 and current the congregation is worshipping at “7525 Oakmont Dr. Stockton, CA 95207
Since the Vietnam government just allowed the Vietnamese people to have freedom of worship God in the year of 2015 and since them to now the Hmong people in Vietnam only depend on us in the Hmong USA to help them in leadership training and financial support to help build church and pastors support.
THE HMONG RELIGION
The Hmong people practice the religion of worshiping the spirits. They believe that the spirit world touches every aspect of life and some of the spirits are good while others are bad. The good spirits mostly are the spirits of their dead ancestors. This spirit can be called to help in time of need. They believe that the spirits of the decease ancestors are still alive and have influenced on the living. At times they called on the ancestral spirits to help them, and at times the ancestral spirits come to protect the living and at another times caused them to be sick because the children had caused the spirits to be angry or forgot to make sacrifices to the spirits. They also believe that there is devil spirit. This evil spirit can cause harm to them at any time. In the back of their mind there is also a King of the Universe or an Almighty God. They also called on this God for help in time of sickness or when bad things happened to them. However, the core belief of the Hmong religion is re-incarnation. They believe that a person has multiple souls. After death one of the person’s souls stay with the body at the grave. One soul travels on a journey to be with his/hers ancestors in a place where they will continue to desire food and material possessions. Another soul re-incarnated into this world to be a different person, thing, or animal and the process will start over and over again. With this type of faith, they practice animal sacrifices.
THE HMONG NEED GOSPEL
I want to fulfill the Lord command that go all nations and baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Therefore we want to go to the Hmong and bring them to Christ and through Christ they have eternal life. The Hmong people have been slave to Satan for long times. They will be saving unless they hear the Gospel; many of the Hmong will die and go to hell because they did not know the true. God love them and Jesus Christ died for their sins. They need to hear the Good News. Can you help me to bring the Gospel to them? Jesus teaches that "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." (Matthew 25:40)
I am trying hard to reach out to the non-Christians
Hmong people in Lao, Thai and Vietnam. Since our congregation still small, I cannot support this mission trip on myself and I need your prayers and financial contributions. I need your financial support to create flyers, brochures, Biblical tracks, Bible teaching and preaching in CDs to those in need. There many people are requesting for Bible teaching and preaching in CDs, so I do not want them to be disappointed.
With you help and financial support, I will reach out and save many Hmong souls through flyers and Biblical teaching, preaching in CDs. I also will train many leaders to lead the Hmong peoples to Christ. I thank you for partner with me in reach out to the Hmong people. I prayer that the richest God will multiply your seeds and increase the harvest that you plant.
In order to travel to this mission trip to Vietnam, from now to the summer, I need $10,000.00. I am more than grateful for however much you feel as though God is calling you to contribute and please know that you and your family are continuously in my prayers.
In addition to your support, I ask for your prayers, that I may be able to continue to be open to the Lords will in my life and to be docile to the Holy Spirit.
