Moriah's memorial fund
$10,745 of $20,000 goal
Moriah Modisette was 5 years old and enjoyed butterflies, Hello Kitty clothing, Disney movies, and Vanilla ice cream. This sweet little girl also enjoyed spending time with family and friends while drawing, playing with dolls, or playing dress up.
Moriah’s family was involved in a fatal car accident on Christmas Eve 2014 at I-35W southbound in Denton Texas which Moriah did not survive. Her family are still in the process of mourning of loss of their beautiful daughter while still trying to heal and recover from the accident.
Moriah’s family would appreciate any donations made towards the cost of their recovery. These donations will help the family get back on their feet and pay for bills associated with food, medical bills, acquiring a used vehicle, and other needs that the family may have while trying to move past this tragedy.
I understand that some people may believe the lawsuit to be unfounded or frivolous but, this is hardly the place to express your negative opinions. I see that it's been two years since this family lost their child but they will forever grieve the loss of their daughter. Posting your negativity here where the family can/will likely see it is sad and disrespectful. You're entitled to your opinion but you are not entitled to berate this family in a public forum that was created to help them in this most difficult time. Please consider what you say and how it might make this family feel. It's none of your business. Wish them well or move on. This is not the place.
Thank you to EVERYONE who is helping out with Moriah's Memorial Fund, no matter your donation amount. I wish each of you could have known her, the joy she was, and the love we shared with her. Nothing, of course, can bring Moriah back to us. But these donations will help with her funeral and burial costs, getting the family a replacement vehicle for the one totaled in the accident, and for helping 8-year-old, Isabella, to adjust to life without her little sister there. No amount of money can fill the hole left in our lives by Moriah's passing, but it can help defray some of the costs and other worries associated by such a sudden death. Thank you. Bill, Moriah's Paw-paw
Thank you to everyone who has donated and we appreciate all the prayers.
Please join us tomorrow evening at 7pm, at Cross Oaks Elementary School, as we celebrate the life of Moriah Modisette and remember the joy she brought to our world, in a candlelight vigil. Family, friends, classmates, neighbors and members of the community are all welcome. It will be an outdoor gathering, so please dress warm. https://www.facebook.com/events/1756921567866318/?ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular
My daughter Abrie was in Moriah's class and a good friends of hers at school. Abrie has been devastated by the news and our family is heartbroken. Moriah is such a a beautiful little girl and the way I hear Abrie talk about her, she was a joy to be around. May God bless your family and guide you with courage, strength and healing.
