This is not easy for me to write, but here it goes... My name is Eddie Vega, the father of Jazmine Vega. On December 23, 2017 around 4:30a.m, my 19 year old daughter, Jazmine Vega, who was 6 months pregnant was shot and killed while sleeping. Her boyfriend Anthony tried everything he could to try to save her life but was unsuccessful. The medical staff was able to deliver their baby and was in critical conditon at that time and fighting for his life. Currently the baby is in stable condition and all we can do is pray and hope day by day he gets stronger.
Jazmine was my first daughter, who was about to be a mother. She was just about to experience life, her way! Everyone who met my daughter loved her. She had an infectious smile, loved to eat, loved to laugh, loved kids, and loved her family. She was the most innocent girl you could ever come across which none of this makes sense or seems fair. She didn’t deserve this! Now she will never get to be the mother she wanted to be and to live the life that she planned. We are so devastated and heartbroken by this tragic event. A peice of me has died and all I want is for her to rest peacefully.
This is not easy for me to do or ask because if I had all the funds then there would be no reason for me to do this. But I am reaching out to the community, my friends, and my family to ask for donations of any amount, whether $1.00 or $5.00 to go towards some of the unexpected and sudden expenses due to this tragedy. These donations will strictly be for any expenses for Jazmine. This is not for my benefit as I am going to do everything in my power to get whatever funds I am able to, to also help with these expenses. Any leftover funds if any will go towards her baby boy Tadeo (medical, supplies, etc).
