Hello, my name is Jay Lyn Gatz and I am an independent hip-hop artist from Chicago, Illinois. I would like to sincerely thank everyone that has supported me and my musical career over the years. It means the world to me. For the past couple of years I have been working diligently on my project “Liquid Heart Syndrome ” with Chicago producer Warith Hajj. The project documents my love life and musical journey. “Liquid Heart Syndrome” is defined as the withering of a person’s emotions due to constant heartbreak, failure, and betrayal. Throughout the project I tell my personal tale while doing my best not to become another victim of “Liquid Heart Syndrome”.
Since starting the project my music has gained attention and recognition from many outlets, most notably Chicago radio station WGCI. I have also been featured in USTYLEU Magazine’s Spring 2016 Issue as the artist “On The Rise”. My Soundcloud has reached over 236 thousand streams with no professional representation or label; only myself, my Surreal Gang crew, my personal assistant, and my supporters.
I have been called the “one man army” due to my independent work, booking events, self promoting and management, recording and engineering all my own music, and the list goes on. As efficient as I have been, I am in dire need of financial assistance from my supporters to complete the project’s promotional campaign.
Supporters that have been around me know how hard I have worked on the “Liquid Heart Syndrome” project. I work with no breaks; in the process, I have lost friends, potential girlfriends, time, my mind, and nearly my life creating this project due to the severity of stress I put myself through to complete it. I want the project to get a fair shot to be heard. After hearing it Warith Hajj said, “This project sounds like a moment in history.”
Since the project zeroes in on love, it is a timeless moment in history. I have undeniably crafted a hip-hop work of art. By supporting this project you will be helping fund its release party, listening events, artwork, videos, merchandise, and promotional materials such as posters, stickers, flyers, and buttons.
