Jason's trust for Damian

Donation protected

Jason Alan Smith passed away on Thursday, April 4th, 2019 after a severe asthma attack.  He is leaving behind a two year old son, Damian, who was the light of his life.  It is a tragedy that Jason was taken from his family at the age of 38.  Daddy and Damian were two kindred spirits and they played together hard.  No one could ever make Damian laugh like Jason could.  It was the greatest blessing of life that Jason was able to experience being a father.  Damian will know Jason through the stories we tell about him.   And there are so many stories.  Please continue to share your stories.

For those who knew Jason, you know he was an outrageously funny person with some big quirks.  One of which, he hated stem cut flowers.  He refused to buy them on the principle that they were a waste of money.  The only person he would ever buy them for was his wife, Suki, and his mother, Margaret.  He would not have wanted friends and family to bring him flowers, on any occasion.

For his funeral, Jason's family is asking that a donation be made in Jason's name to a trust for Damian's education.  He wanted the world for his brilliant toddler.  It would be his greatest sadness that he could not be here to take care of his son, to play with him, to tickle him, and to mold him into a kind and humorous man, just like Jason.  Jason will always be watching over Damian from heaven and hopefully it will give him some peace to know that a trust has been formed in his honor.
