Hello, I am Cindy Rae (sister-in-law) and I am raising funds on behalf of the family of Jason Washington whose life was tragically taken on the morning of June 29, 2018. Jason Washington was shot by Portland State University Campus Police while trying to break up a fight. Jason Washington, known as a hero, died on the scene. He will be forever missed.
Jason Washington's charisma and warmth could light a room, he had a smile that was contagious, and if he met you once, you would forever be know as his friend. Jason is survived by his loving wife Michelle, three beautiful daughters, and one spunky granddaughter.
Jason Washington was a family man who dedicated his life to Michelle, his daughters and granddaughter. Jason and Michelle met during high school. Dedicated to one another for 27 years, their love for one another runs deep and the pain of this senseless loss prevails. They were an amazing team those two! Always opening their hearts and home for family, friends and people who had unfortunate life circumstance.
Jason Washington's love for his daughters and granddaughter was evident. Endless dance competitions, sporting events and academic activities, Jason Washington showed up for them all! The love he shared with his daughters runs deep and the pain these three young women feel seems endless.
Jason Washington was also blessed with a beautiful granddaughter who saw him as a father figure, a role model, his "lil'buddy" and best friend. Taken from her life to early, their love and bond for one another will reign through.
A Navy Veteran and an employee of the US Postal Service for 21 years, Jason worked tirelessly to support his family as the primary income earner.
Jason Washington loved Jesus, often sharing the words of his faith and his deep belief for his loving God.
These tragic and untimely circumstances have left his family in immediate need of financial assistance throughout this incredibly difficult transition. I am working to raise money to support Michelle Washington with funeral/memorial expenses, as well as the numerous expenses that come along with raising their children.
When you donate to the campaign your money will be used to assist Michelle Washington with the cost of funeral expenses as well as the immediate loss of financial resources.
