Jason Ferranti Memorial Fund

$12,794 of $12,000 goal

Raised by 132 people in 20 months
The Jason Ferraniti Memorial Fund is for his daughter, Leona. If you knew his graffiti work, then you knew that Bones was always on his mind. His addiction kept them apart. Jason won’t be able to be there on her first day of college physically, but we are hoping that his spirit and this small amount will get her on a good start. Any amount is much appreciated. He’s up there watching over her with his brother, Joshua, and our grandmother, Mary Jane.

Thank you, everyone, for your outpouring of love and support. Jason left us the same week his brother, Joshua, did years ago. It's been very hard for the family. A memorial is in the works, but no definite details yet.

The Lord of the Fries, Lover of Crab Legs, Lost Boy, the_spacemanspiff_, Treske… we miss you, we love you. Your struggle is over. We only wish you forgave yourself as much as we forgave you. Rest in peace, my darling cousin.

I cannot express how thankful I am to everyone who has donated and to all the efforts being made by the Graffiti community with the art auctions, the beautiful pins, and showing of support. The fact that Jay's art touched so many people is amazing.

I upped the goal because I know there is still art donations in the works. I am constantly blown away by the number that has been raised. I was really skeptical and thought a few hundred would be a nice gesture. Your generosity is humbling and amazing. Thank you so much on behalf of myself, Leona Bones, Jays's mother Jane, and the rest of my family. Thank you.

Gofundme wants me to update, so here it goes:

My name is Virginia Mulgrew and I'm a DelCo kid. I've been like a sister to Jason. His mom and my dad are the eldest of the seven crazy Mulgrew children from Lansdowne PA. My brothers (all three) have taken his death hard, especially since we all grew up and moved on to be adults instead of the Lost Boys we wanted to be, off in Neverland. Jay was someone they looked up to when we were wee.

Attached is a pic of the original crew. We were close growing up and we went on all kinds of adventures from frogging to pillow fights to apple orchard wars; dress up days were always nuts and we had to give out tarot card readings. Halloween turned his house into a Haunted House for those brave to enter and take candy from the head in the table. We disappeared into the park behind our grandparents' house to battle barking tree spiders and catch crayfish. Our Fourth of July water balloon fights were things of legends and we loved eating popcorn shrimp with real cherry coke at the Clam Tavern. Oh, the fish stories we had in the Adirondacks and the crab talks down the shore. I have so many fond childhood memories with him. The kind you want your own kids to have.

Jason introduced me to music like Nine Inch Nails and Tool, and one of our goals on our bucket list was to see NIN live together. I'll never forget that.

It's hard to think that we'll never have movie and chicken burrito nights together (he never did teach me his recipe) or go see The Dark Tower and the new Blade Runner.

Again, this fundraiser is for his daughter, Leona aka "Bones". She's really my second cousin, but I've just referred to her as my niece. I will be coordinating with her mother about putting all your generous donations into a proper savings account for Leona, saved for when she's old enough to go to college.

To further support and remember Tre, www.tinygiants.us is taking pre-orders for Tre pins at $10 - all proceeds will be going to this fundraiser for his daughter, Leona.

Thank you so much, everyone! Jane (my aunt and Jay's mom) is so humbled and in awe by everyone's generosity, thoughts, and well-wishes. Our family is having a hard time, but knowing that Leona has something saved for whatever she plans to do for her life, she will have a great start. Who knows, maybe she'll end up in the art world like her dad. Thank you, again. It means so much to us.

Wow, so I'm being told I should raise the goal on this fund because so many of you want to give. I am humbled by the amount you have given. Thank you so much. I'm hoping to get more pictures together. Please feel free to post some.
