In the early hours of Wednesday December 27th Jason and his wife my niece Elizabeth awoke to a loud commotion in the downstairs apartment where they lived. Jason told Elizabeth to call the police, then without hesitation or concern for his own safety ran down to see if he could help his neighbors. Unfortunately when Jason opened his door he was confronted by two home invasion robbers who had just burglarized the neighbors at gun point and stolen a shotgun from the neighbors residence. Jason shut the door to his apartment, but the robbers kicked in his door. Fearful that they would hurt his wife Elizabeth, Jason tried to stop them from entering their home. Jason was shot in the shoulder with the stolen shotgun. Jason succumbed to his injuries on Friday December 29th. The family is in need of financial assistance to help with the burial and other related expenses. Any assistance you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
