My name is Jennifer also known as Jenn or Nenna. I am 28 and I am married to a wonderful man, we have a strong willed three year old boy and I am currently pregnant with my second baby BOY! We have a wonderful parents and our families are great. We are Blessed!
So here is where my journey began. My left eye started bulging about 4 weeks ago and it's been watering for about 4 months along with headaches, and other discomfort on the left side of my face. I'm also having slight double vision which I've had my whole life. I was diagnosed with Strabismus as a child so I didn't think it was that of a big deal. Between allergies, sinus', and pregnancy hormones I thought it was just going to go away. I went to my primary in November thinking I had a sinus infection I was given and Amoxicillin sent on my way. Well after a month of symptoms being the same and now a bulging eye I knew there was something more. My primary then sent me to the ophthalmologist as an emergency case. They measured my eye and indeed it's extended further. I had my MRI and I was told I have a mass in my sinus cavity which is pushing on my eye causing it to bulg. I was then sent to an ENT (Ears, Nose and Throat) After he saw me I was scheduled for a biopsy. I was admitted overnight for a CT, lab work, and monitoring of the baby. The biopsy shows I have a rare cancer Rhabdomyosarcoma (rhab·do·my·o·sar·co·ma). Rhabdomyosarcoma is a type of sarcoma. Sarcoma is cancer of soft tissue (such as muscle), connective tissue (such as tendon or cartilage), or bone.
