On October 30,2018 Jariah got up for school the same energetic spunky 11 year old boy he always was. Unfortunately, when he was on his way to school he crossed at an intersection he wasn't supposed to cross at. Doing this led to a major accident. Jariah was struck by a vehicle leaving him in critical condition. Jariah was left paralyzed from his chest area down due to his spinal cord being severed, he is paralyzed from his neck to chest due to a hematoma on his neck. Jariah is currently on a ventilator and using a feeding tube. Luckily he has woken up from his coma and is able to follow verbal orders with is eyes. He will be starting physical therapy soon to rehabilitate him to the best he can be. Jariah lives in Binghamton, New York with his Uncle Johnny and sister Kyhiara, do to the extent of his injuries he is hospitalized in Syracuse, New York. This has taken a toll on his family mentally, physically and financially. A round trip cost $24 in gas that is $168 for gas a week for hospital visits.Johnny still has to be home to care for Kyhiara and his own children. This means he has to make trips to and from the hospital almost daily. On top of having to be there on Saturdays at specific times to supervise the court ordered supervised visits with Jariah biological parents. Sadly its becoming more and more of a struggle. Johnny will not give up the fight with Jariah. Each day he makes some type of progress. They need help! The financial l help is needed for his family to be with him during this time it is also needed for medical requirements that will be needed in the future. Jariah has a long healing process ahead of him and we are asking others to help us help him. All funds donated will be directly linked to Jariah's secure bank account which is through NBT bank.
