In November of 2017, Joseph DeBenedetto, a letter carrier for over 30 years on main street and surrounding neighborhoods of Hampton Bays, NY, was diagnosed with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrigs Disease). A.L.S. is a terminal illness that attacks the muscles and impacts physical functions. There is no cure.
Unfortunately Joey is now wheelchair bound and unable to walk. We, his family and friends, are hoping to raise enough funds to provide Joey with the necessary medical aides and providing him with a handicap equipped vehicle.
