James and Linda Henderson
James and Linda Henderson were in a horrible crash on I-70 on February 15th. James is in the hospital right now with serious injuries to his back, neck, ribs, and head. Linda, unfortunately, did not survive the crash. Many of the people whose lives they have touched have asked how the can help out the family. This page has been set up by a friend of the family to help with medical bills, travel expenses, and other things the family might need during this time. I will be making sure that the family gets all donations via cash withdrawals that will be given to James's granddaughters.+ Read More
For those who have following James's story we have some amazing news! On April 19th he was discharged from the hospital. He also walked out on his own! He still has a long journey ahead of him on the road to recovery, but this is an amazing step in that direction. Thank you all for your amazing support. Please keep him and the Henderson family in your thoughts and prayers.
Some of the Henderson family's prayers have been answered! Aetna has approved James to go to acute rehab for 7 days. They will have to continue to fight for more than 7 days, but it's a step in the right direction. Your continued thoughts and prayers are appreciated as the family continues to fight for James to get the care he deserves.
Thank you to all who have supported the Henderson family in this time of need. It has been with your help and support that we made it to the $10,000 mark. The family asked me to increase the goal due to the battle with the insurance company. They all want to thank you all for your generosity and loving words for Linda and James Henderson. Please continue to pray and share their story while they focus on James's recovery.
James is still in the hospital in the ICU. Earlier this week he had some blood clots that stemmed from the lack of rehab that is able to be provided at the hospital. The doctors are wanting to send him to a long term ICU facility to help with this, but his insurance company is fighting the move. They want to keep James in the hospital or have him moved to a rehabilitation center that doesn't have the staff that is trained in the care that he needs. Your continued prayers and support are greatly needed and appreciated during this new battle that the Henderson family is fighting.
