Help Our Queer Fam Plant Roots!

We are Jess, addison, Loan, and Tabi, a black, viet & pup family who have been dreamin' and schemin' about a secure home of our own together. Over the past five years we have collectively lived in 13 different homes and it is affecting our mental health and ability to feel grounded. Previously, we looked into what it would look like to buy a home here in Durham but were quickly discouraged by the cost of homes in the area. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago and we've found a place that somehow magically meets alllll of our needs AND is being sold by folks who want to support those in the community looking to put down roots that they can afford to let down. We all have stable jobs and income now, and we're able to keep up with a home, but we don't have the accumulated wealth and savings to get the ball rolling. 

Our family has specific needs around disabilities and allergies, which luckily this house meets. It is a pretty accessible single story home that has been retrofitted against allergens and mold. There's also a garden, fruit trees, and medicinal herbs! Making this place ours would truly boost up our mental, spiritual and physical health. 

Here's  where y'all come in. In order to purchase our forever home for our cute lil' qtpoc fam we're going to need a bit of help. We've gotten approved for a home loan, but still need to come up with the funds for a down payment, closing costs, inspections, and moving costs.
