The Malawi Project will help poor hospitals in Malawi which lack basic medical supplies, such as band aids and nebulizers.
Donations will help us buy medical equipment for hospitals in Malawi, a poor country in Africa. We will buy:
*Band aids.
*Oxygen concentrators.
*Nebulizers - used for asthmatic children. Many people die from asthma attacks due to a lack of these supplies in government hospitals.
*Multi parameter monitors.
*Pulse oximeters .
All of this medical equipment will go to helping sick Malawians who do not have the proper equipment to recover/survive from disease/illness. The hospitals we will be funding are Chikhwawa District Hospital, Dowa District Hospital, and Mzimba District Hospital.
Facts:
The life expectancy in Malawi is 60.1 years.
1/10 of Malawians have HIV/AIDS.
6.4% of children die before the age of 5.
