My name is Jadyn Kipe. I just turned 11 years old this past July. I am officially running in The Providence Health and Services Hood To Coast Relay 2018. The race is a great fundraiser for Cancer Research and I want to use the miles I run to raise money specifically for other kids to have amazing adventures and fun activities too. My Dad used to work in sports radio here in Portland, so he suggested raising money for the Bald Faced Truth Organization, run by Anna and John Canzano, which gives grants to support kids in Music, Education, Arts and Athletics, and those are 4 things I love! They also run "Camp Exceptional" every year in Clackamas, which brings together kids of all abilities through adaptive physical education. Every kid should have a chance to have fun and do something they love too.
The total of my 3 legs of the race will be between 12.65 and 13.43 total miles. My goal is to have at least 200 people on the radio donate $1 for every mile I run. When that happens, we will make $2,530 for the Bald Faced Truth Foundation and help a lot of kids have cool opportunities.
