Hello Oregon!
This is my dear friend, and Stan's daughter Jac, and she recently had her life turned upside down when she decided come back to her home town of Portland, work for Lyft , and get her health back on track. But tragic things just keep happening. She is really excited about being back home, and I am hoping that my Portland folk will welcome her back with some help and encouragement in this troubling time for her.
See, right after moving down here to get going on her new job, the car she just rented to use for Lyft was damaged after parking for a short, yet long over due family reunion in SE Portland. She came outside to find that her car had been backed into and the driver door was unable to open! :( There was no note or clue of who had done it, an apparent hit and run. Now she needed to work even longer hours and focus less on her pressing medical needs to cover damage expenses. She was upset and set back by this event, yes, but it was still doable, and she had a plan to work the rest of the month to come up with the amount needed for damages that she was now responsible for.
However, in less than a week, when she was home getting ready for work, when she found herself unexpectedly having to call 911. She was rushed to St. Vincent's Memorial Hospital, where they found she had her second spontaneous pneumothorax (collapsed lung) within the last month. They immediately rushed her in for surgery and performed a plurectamy and a blebectamy on her right lung. She then spent 4 more days in ICU.
She is now home, trying to recover, and awaiting the news on how much she owes for the damages and her medical expenses. Her original goal when making this move was to work with a rental car just long enough to save up for her own fuel efficient and reliable vehicle. Now she has even longer to wait for that plan to unfold. Currently, Jac's job, living situation, and entire life down here is built upon her ability to have a functioning car for Lyft. I know that Portland would love to have this fun, loving, karaoke singing, animal loving, photographer (not to mention, excellent driver) here, contributing all she has to the beautiful Rose City and driving her people around! I'm asking for your help, please donate what you can to help raise at leaset $5000.00 to cover some of Jacs expenses while, she is out of work and recovering from surgery.
