LA Marathon: Jacoby Jogs for JRLA

On March 19th, I will be running the Los Angeles Marathon, to support the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA)!

I have a list of goals for this day, here they are in order of priority:

1. Not die
2. Finish the race
3. Raise money for JRLA
4. Not poop on myself
5. Not injure myself
6. Not bleed from the nipple
7. Film some of it for ‘Jalen and Jacoby'
8. Beat Mario Lopez’s time of 5:41:41
9. Beat Oprah’s time of 4:29:15
10. Beat the average time of 4:19:27
11. Beat Puffy’s time of 4:14:54
12. Beat Will Farrell’s time 3:56:12
13. Look good with my shirt off for the first time in five years

Please help me achieve some of the goals by donating to the great Jalen Rose Leadership Academy:

JRLA is an open enrollment, public charter high school on the northwest side of Detroit. The Academy began its first academic year in September 2011 and currently serves over 400 ninth through twelfth grade scholars from metro-Detroit. JRLA provides a leadership-focused education that engages and inspires youth to achieve at the rigorous level necessary to ultimately graduate with a college degree.  

Scholars are provided with an authentic academic experience which builds both the skill and will necessary to be successful in high school and beyond.  Immersed in the culture of college, scholars not only receive extensive college exposure via university tours, but are also required to pass at least one Advanced Placement course to assist in a seamless transition into college.  JRLA is a 9-16 model where scholars are supported by a College Success Team not only through high school graduation, but through college graduation as well.
