Jackson Hendrix - CBHS, Memphis

Jackson was diagnosed about a year ago with a rare form of primary liver cancer called Fibrolameller Hepatocellular Carcinoma....he was actually in St.Jude on his 15th birthday.
In a nutshell, Jack has had a couple of surgeries already, 9 months of inpatient chemotherapy and implanted radiation to attack this tumour.....As it is, a surgical solution is the only chance at a cure and we have been presented with a stable window of time to proceed with surgical intervention.. We have identified a gifted and experienced surgeon at Columbia Presbyterian/Childrens Hospital in New York, and surgery is planned for October 31.....This Monster is coming out on Halloween...!
He does not like being the kid with cancer and just wants to be rid of this tumor and return to a normal teenage CBHS Brothers boy life...
The Doctors have suggested that the Hendrix family make plans to be in the NYC area for upwards of two months. They are trying to plan for several flights back and forth with Jackson, housing, meals, etc during this time period while maintaining regular expenses at home, as well...
Please pray that Jackson will find PEACE and have a role some how in helping another child either by seeking a route to earlier diagnosis or making better treatment available.

Funds will be used to:
- Make medical payments
- Cover travel expenses between Memphis and NYC for the duration of Jackson's stay for the Hendrix family.
- Assist the Hendirx family with housing needs in NYC and Memphis for the duration of their need.
- Provide any aditional financial support the Hendirx family might need during Jackson's surgery and recovery.
- Build awarness and suport for early detection of childhood cancer.
Funds will be sent directly to Christopher Hendrix, father of Jackson Hendirx, and/or Carol Hendrix, mother of Jackson Hendrix, to be used for the above mentioned.
All funds will be forwarded directly to the Hendrix family the week of October 27th... aka Jackson Hendrix Day!
