On Thursday, May 9th, 10 year old Jack went to Sick Kids with his parents Christie and Daryl as he had been having severe headaches for several weeks. There, they received the news that no parent ever wants to hear, that their adored Jack had a mass on his brain that they later discovered was cancerous.
They are in good hands there, with some of the world’s best treatment teams. His treatment plan is currently being developed and both Christie and Daryl have been at his bedside constantly.
While Jack tries to understand what is happening, he has decided to refer to his tumour as “Jack’s Planet”.
Jack is a very special boy who is loved by his family and friends and has a school community ready to rally behind him.
Given the need for Jack to have his parents with him during this time, we are asking for assistance to help offset the financial strain that lies ahead and hopefully ease some of the stress so Christie and Daryl can focus on Jack during this difficult time. Any little bit helps & is greatly appreciated.
