Jack Bragger is a 9-year-old boy from Thornton, PA who was struck by a car outside of his home on February 1, 2018. He suffered a severe brain injury, in addition to multiple life threatening injuries. Jack was flown by helicopter to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and required extensive surgery, spending seven weeks in the pediatric ICU. Jack’s parents were told that if Jack survived the first 3 days, he would certainly face a long road to recovery.
Being the strong and brave boy that he is, Jack survived and has improved over the last 8 weeks. Currently, Jack is minimally conscious and is slowly making progress. This week Jack was transferred to the rehabilitation floor to start the next phase of his recovery.
Jack’s parents, John and Nancy, have been at his bedside this entire time in addition to taking care of their twin daughters, Jack’s best friends, Molly and Emma. But as weeks have turned into months of specialized care, this wonderful young family is facing the financial realities of Jack’s prolonged hospitalization – medical bills, potential modifications to their home, and extended time off work without pay.
With those expenses in mind, it is our goal to raise $50,000 for the Bragger Family. Any donation to help the family is much appreciated.
The Bragger Family wishes to thank you for all of your support and love. Prayers and positive energy are so powerful…please keep them coming! Updates regarding Jack’s progress will be posted to this site so you can follow his journey to recovery.
