Flea Market Fire - Sahagun Family

We are the Sahagun family originally from Jalisco and Guanajuato, Mexico. About 15 years ago, my father opened a fruit stand at the Buyers Flea Market named "El Tipico".  We sell fresh fruits, smoothies, milkshakes, horchata, fresh lemonade, diablitos, mangolladas, homemade chips, and much more! We are locally known as "The Mexican Jamba Juice".

On March 8, 2016 at approximately 10:00 AM a fire broke out at The Buyers Flea Market located at 4545 W. Division. The fire was so intense that the upstairs parking lot collapsed and the fire spread to the inside of the Flea Market, eventually collapsing the entire structure (http://abc7chicago.com/news/fire-breaks-out-at-large-flea-market-in-west-humboldt-park/1236240/).

The Buyers Flea Market has been around for more than 30-years and it's Chicago's largest indoor-outdoor flea market. For 15 years, we've worked as a family to grow our business and provide quality products to our customers. My parents dedicated everything to our family business but now it has unfortunately been destroyed.

Due to the unexpected turn of events, we are prepared to relocate and restart our long-established family business. In doing so, we are acting fast in implementing this business plan. As such, we are asking for contributions in order to get our business back up and running.  

The funds will be used as followed:

-Money towards a lease for a new location.

- Replacement of equipment (comercial blenders, juicers, and freezers). 

- Inventory (fruits and vegetables).
