Running For Fallen Officers

My name is Eric Baade and I have been a peace officer for 18 years in the Sacramento area. Throughout my career I have attended numerous funerals of officers and deputies who were killed in the line of duty. No matter the size of the funeral, or the venue, there is always one point in the service that affects me the most, and that is when the family is addressed. At this moment every officer in attendance reflects on their own family and the thought of them trying to go on without them.

To bring awareness, and to support the families of fallen officers, on December 6th 2015, I will be running the California International Marathon in my full duty uniform. 

Your donations will be two fold. First, they will help my team attend the Peace Officer’s Memorial Week in Washington D.C. There, we will provide motor escorts to the families of fallen officers to numerous events to assist them through the healing process of losing their fallen heroes. We will also be attending ceremonies to honor our fallen brothers and sisters. Secondly, proceeds made above the travel costs to attend the Peace Officer’s Memorial will be donated directly to the Northern California chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors, or NorCal C.O.P.S.
