On May 26, 2017, the world lost an amazing young woman, daughter, sister, mother, and friend, Iveliss Alvarado. Taken away from her loved ones far too soon by a heartbreaking act of domestic violence, friends and family look to remember her as she was during her short life.
Iveliss was a hard-working single mother, who spent most of her time pursuing an education in nursing while working full-time to support her two young daughters, Yaralyss and Kyliss. A vivacious, fun-loving woman, Iveliss cherished her close friends and family. A native New Yorker, nothing made her happier than enjoying the city of her birth with her daughters, mother, and cousins.
As we grieve, we are reminded of the two young girls who have been tragically left behind by this senseless act, and her family who has been left to pick up the pieces. We encourage you to post a memory, prayer, or thought as we support Iveliss’s family - Olga Alvarado (mother), Marisol Crespo, and Gisel Mora (sisters). This campaign, organized by close family, aims to ease the upcoming costs Iveliss’s surviving mother and sisters will encounter in the immediate and distant future while making final arrangements and caring for her young daughters. Donations made will be withdrawn and presented directly to Iveliss' sister, Gisel Mora, who will be responsible for withdrawing the funds into two UGMA accounts in names of both Yaralyss and Kyliss to help provide Olga with day to day child support. Therefore Gisel, along with her mother Olga, plan to be responsible for the management and use of the funds, outside of GoFundMe.
