£27,461 of £37,000 goal

Raised by 284 people in 15 months

I took a shower and found a dent. The dent disfigured the shape of my left breast, I could feel various things under the skin but have had cysts and tenderness for 8 years.

The dent was the body finally telling me to get myself checked and referred. I did and in September 2016 I was diagnosed with Grade 3 Breast Cancer Oestrogen Positive.

Im currently going through Chemo after a successful Lumpectomy and next year will continue with Radiotherapy.

I cannot express enough how this experience has instilled a deep desire to get out there and educate the world to self examine regularly and encourage the earliest detection possible.

I am so grateful to the Macmillan Renton Unit in Hereford, passionate about research and cures and will relentlessly promote breast checking for as long as Im on this planet.

Therefore my campaign will be funding and supporting :

Macmillan Renton Unit Hereford
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

As my hospital and medical support grows I will also be making smaller donations to those charities that I have benefited from too, such as LINC and the Little Princesses Trust.

I was 37 when I received the news of Breast Cancer so have set the target to raise £1k for every year of my life to diagnosis.

I thank you wholeheartedly for your donation as there are so many incredible charities out there.

Just a little update.

Wednesday 11th January, I'm starting my Radiotherapy treatment. Im travelling between Cheltenham and Hereford Oncology and will be having 20 sessions in total.

I attend every day between Monday and Friday for the next 4 weeks.

I'm doing well, started a little fitness and some healthy eating today, joined the rest of the 1000's trying to lose weight for the New Year.

Next fundraiser is another Shave - this time 3 friends from Mitcheldean are getting together 4th February. Poeople have been just amazingly supportive.

Thank you all for your donations and please keep in touch by following my blog on Facebook (Search for 'My Cancer 2016').

Cheers for now Julie xx
