How many people find their passion at 20?
Our son, Isaiah, has always loved technology and media arts. He's been taking pictures, editing videos, and serving in church media programs for years!
He found a school/degree that will not only support his career path but one that will build his character as well.
"At this point in your life, you are building a foundation. I want to be in an enviorment where you can be encouraged in your faith all while exploring who you are."
George Fox has an amazing Cinema and Media Communications Degree which Isaiah had the opportunity to attend for a year. This was after attending the local community college for a year before transfering to George Fox.
This paticular major offers internships which can be very benefical to obtaining a position after college inlcuding possiblities to serve in churches as a media arts worker.
Isaiah had planned to resume classes this Fall, continuing on with his roomate and selected classes, however the scholarships and funds are not where they need to be to return. He will need to take at least a semester off to try and build up enough funds/scholarships to return as a student and finish his degree.
Isaiah has stated that he feels, for the first time, that he belongs somewhere. He has a tribe of friends who will pray for each other at any given moment. This school is going beyond education and is building strong character in him.

Because of family dynamics, adopting a child from the foster care system who has special needs, and a stint of unemployment, our financial situation doesn't allow for much assistance to him.
Isaiah realizes, he has to do the work for it ... work study, summer jobs, and more will be needed to resume attendance. For now, we are in hopes some will want to walk along him to return to George Fox.
