Nick Watson is 33 years old, with a wife and a ten year old son. He is an avid fisherman, wicked mechanic, and kind man who grew up in Cortez, and on Anna Maria Island.
On November 19, 2014, Nick and three friends were traveling on SR 675 outside Parrish, Florida when a drunk driver failed to yield the right of way and hit them head on. All three friends died. Nick is in intensive care at Blake Hospital with critical injuries. He has a broken ankle, broken femur, broken arm, badly fractured pelvis, and a spinal injury. He suffered multiple internal injuries.
Nick is a strong young man but his injuries so severe that his recovery will be long and difficult. His family needs help preparing for his eventual release from the hospital and his rehabilitation. Any funds raised will be put into an account managed by his parents, Vicki and Greg Lansen, to be used solely for Nick's expenses and special accomodations, including medical, dental and equipment.
