Irondale Youth Program

Dear Irondale Community,
We Are 1 is reaching out for your support. As you guys know Irondale is the only community that doesn’t have a rec center, youth center or any type of center for our kids. We are 1 will be changing that by bringing a youth program to Irondale 7 days a week. It’s going to take a lot of hard work and support from the community. Our location will now be 1550 Georgia road Irondale, Alabama 35210. This location requires less repairs to get started. The program will have computers for the kids, tutor time, game area for down time, mentors, former WNBA/NBA guest speakers in the building, and last but not least structure exercising. We will travel to local areas in the community to support as well. Field trips to basketball games, baseball and more. We will offer pick up services from school to the facility also. The after school program will began during the school months from 3 to 6pm. We will also have a summer program. The ages will range from 7-14 years of age. The things we need to make this project a success is paint, painters, office supplies, tables, chairs, workout equipment, rubber flooring, and more. We already purchased a church bus/shuttle bus so if anyone knows a mechanic or a paint body shop that would be helpful also. Anything and everything will be appreciated. It’s our community so let’s make a change. Communities always pull together when something bad happens but let’s pull together now to make something good happen.
