Hi I'm Aaliyah Campbell-Kinsey I was diagnosed at 10 months old with a rare genetic disorder called spinal muscular atrophy type 2. I never crawled or learn to walk and I've been in a wheelchair since I was 2 years old. I've been admitted into the hospital about 25 times so far. November 2017 I was the sickest I've ever been. I was no longer able to breathe on my own and had to be intubated. I was in the hospital for about 40 days. Since my 2017 hospitalization I have been hospitalized 18 times. My parents both have been let go of their previous jobs due to my health condition and having to spend so much time in the hospital with me. I was recently donated a wheelchair accessible van and now we just need help paying the taxes and getting the plates. I also need a wheelchair ramp built so I can easily get in and out of the front door of my house. I am grateful for anything that can get donate it whether it's money, time, or recommendations to organizations that may be helpful. Thank You.
