We recently received life changing news that Garrie’s aneurysm was at the critical stage, massive and would need fast tracked surgery. After meeting with the top Neurosurgeon in B.C. at Vancouver General Hospital an appt date of June 13 is set for this. It’s a very specific surgery which will require open skull clamping on each side of the aneurysm to prevent it bursting.
it will be a difficult 2+ month recovery period at home. that will require home nursing. Because of the urgency of this I have to have this nursing set up after Garrie is discharged. It’s going to be a long road and we are not in any way shape or form prepared for the emotional toll this has taken on the whole family.
