In Memory of Melissa Matute

We are struggling with the loss of our beloved Melissa, who unexpectedly passed away on August 25, 2018 at age 43 from a severe seizure.  She left behind a 10-month-old girl, the beautiful baby Ella. 

Melissa waited her whole life to be a mom, and when her dream came true she gave everything she had to her daughter. Every second, every thought was for the care of this wonderful creature. And we who loved her so desperately want to make sure Ella feels that fierceness of love, that special Melissa brand of devotion we all will miss so much, for the rest of her life. 

Ella's well-being and future are our top priority. She has a long life ahead, a life of diapers and formula and birthdays and school and college. This fund is being administered by her brother, Dan, and every penny donated will go toward making sure she has the best of everything we can possibly give her.  

We are astounded by the response to this fund and appreciate so much your generosity. We feel the love that surrounded Melissa and we are comforted by it.  On behalf of the Hopkins family, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your generosity, support and love.
