In Memory of Baby Mac - Family Fund

Baby Mac, was born on September 19th, 2015. He passed away on January 18th while at daycare. He is survived by his parents Shelley and Chris.
There are no words to express the pain that is being experienced in this household today. I lack the ability to describe the emptiness in our hearts. What I can do is tell you about Mac.
Mac was the sweetest baby I’ve ever known. He was beautiful, born without a freckle on his body and with a full set of hair.
As he got older, we were constantly stunned by his love for everyone around him. Although he was born into a family of introverts, he loved people, kids in particular. He used to get so excited for daycare because he got to see so many of his friends.
He also loved to dance. His favourite songs to dance to were old jukebox specials and “What Does the Fox Say,” a song we have all listened to more times than we can count.
Even though he loved people, Mac liked his downtime too. He inherited his parents’ love for reading and he loved to sit in his book corner pouring over his stories. His favourites involved dogs or bears or tigers and he would practice his impressive growl whenever anyone read to him.
Mac was incredibly empathetic for a boy who wasn’t even two-years-old yet. If you stubbed your toe or bumped your head he would want to make sure you were okay. He loved his dolly too, he would often feed her copying his mom. He changed each and every one of our lives the moment he came into this world.
We all miss him so much. Mac was like a brilliant star that appeared in our lives for only a short time, but will forever change us all.
As you can imagine, Chris and Shelley are in a complete haze. I’ve never known more doting and attentive parents, but no one can ever prepare for something like this.
They are struggling with the idea of a Go-Fund-Me because it feels wrong. But all of this feels wrong and we know that down the road they will need these funds to keep them afloat during a very difficult season.
Over the next few weeks we will need to pay for funeral arrangements, and since Chris’s job is 100% commission, we are hoping to lighten their financial burden in general so Shelley and Chris can focus on grieving as long as possible. We would be incredibly thankful for anything you can give.
For those of you who know Chris and Shelley personally, we ask that you just send an e-mail transfer, since Go-Fund-Me takes a small administration fee.
