In Loving memory of Ky

An amazing soul was taken way to early. Makyla Mae Carpenter 18 years young of life, daughter, auntie, sister, friend has grown her wings. She touched so many lives and was such a bright light everywhere she went. She was taken from us because of a tragic car accident. I'm creating this in hopes of helping a mourning mother and father that should not have to bear burying a child and also worry about trying to cover costs of losing their child. What I've always loved about this community is that in times like these people rally and pull together to help care for one another.
 Makyla was taken from us, but through her friends and families loss of her, other families may get to enjoy their loved one a bit longer. This is how she would want it to be in the situation that has occured. Her whole being and essence in life was always helping and caring for others. She was one of the most giving, loving souls you could ever meet. Makyla will get to be their miracle and light in their lives. She was a organ donor and is currently in the process of finding matches. 
 Her mother has been such and amazing  asset to this community and has given to so many others so selflessly. She started the Blue Sky for Children foundation, Ferndale holiday giving store...  these are only a couple examples of how this woman has made such and amazing impact to this community and her legacy of doing what she can to make this world a better place. She within the last couple years had to forcefully be put on social security disability due to medical issues. Within the last couple months her husband (Makyla's Dad) was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. With this diagnosis he has also been forced to quit working in order to have enough time for treatments but also to be at home more to help with his wife.It has been an overwhelmingly heartbreaking journey the last couple years for the family. 
 This family deserves help from their community more than anyone I know. Please let's pull together to help them take some burden of worrying about cost of losing their child off their shoulders. These parents have suffered an unfathomable amount of pain the last couple days. Let's be a little ray of light in their lives and give back to people that have given out so much to this community. Thank you deeply everyone for even your kind thoughts and prayers for the family, it truly means so much.
