There comes a time in everyone’s life where we lose someone we love. Unfortunately, for many of us: family, friends, and loved ones, we lost someone very dear us this past Sunday. Tai Le, an incredibly humble, selfless, and kind person. He carried an aura of fun and positivity wherever he went. He had a contagious smile that would in turn only make you smile back.

He was with a group of friends celebrating birthdays on a barge in Lake Travis. Three individuals including Tai were cliff diving; when they all hit the waters each had surfaced however, Tai struggled to swim back to the barge and shortly went underwater. People on the barge noticed he was missing and jumped in towards him but was unable to find him. Rescue team was dispatched and were unsuccessful in finding him. Authorities were able to recover his body the following day. http://kxan.com/2017/05/01/body-being-recovered-from-lake-travis-by-dive-team/

Tai Le meant a lot to everyone who knew him. He was a great friend, a caring brother, and a loving son. He was the glue that held many groups of friends intact. He directed every ounce of energy into bringing life to any individual he encountered. He made sure no one was left out and always checked up on you if your head was down or if something was wrong. He made sure every relationship he shared was headed towards some sort of deep connection, making the drive to different areas of Texas, even if it was just for a few hours. He showed everyone how to make every second of your life here on Earth, a memorable and appreciative one. So let’s all join together in these times to do what he would have wanted us to do. Be together.

All donations will go directly to Tai’s family. The funds will help Tai’s family with any funeral expenses and to alleviate any extra expenses they must undergo.

Ultimately, his family will be covering all the funeral expense however, we hope to raise a significant amount to help them through these tough times.

We will always carry you in our hearts and no doubt you will never be forgotten. Thank you for taking the time and efforts in supporting Tai Le and his family.

Let’s all join together in these times to do what he would have wanted us to do. Be together.

Hello, good evening everyone. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their support. We were able to raise a large sum to help Tai's family through these tough times. Kim-Ngan Vu who is Tai's sister is the beneficiary who will manage all the funds that were donated. She has specifically stated to me that she will use the expenses to cover all the funeral cost and also be donating to charities that align with Tai's morals. In the mean time will continue to receive donations until the end of this month.

Thank you ALL again for your generous donations. I wish Tai's family didn't have to bear this burden that they carry, and to all of us for that matter. Life isn't fair all the time but in reality, Tai really brought us all together as a community, and I'm sure he would be happy if he could see what we've done.

May you rest well in heaven little bro and watch over us like a guardian angel.

Khuong - a youth leader group member of Tai, informed me that their group will be hosting a candlelight vigil for him tomorrow (THURSDAY) at 8PM at St. Peter's Church to pray and celebrate his life.

Hello, good evening family, friends, loved ones... It brings me great joy to say we are nearly at our THIRD goal in just two days of launching GoFundMe. THANK YOU EVERYONE because every single dollar counts.

I will be personally going up to Dallas tomorrow to meet with Tai's family and show them what we have raised in Tai's name. He would honestly be endeared by the amount of love each of you have shown him. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN.
