In Honor and Memory of Julian Jones
My brother, my best friend, my idol wanted to make a difference in the world by making it a better place for us all. He wanted to help everyone, save the environment and spread peace. He possessed a heart of gold, a heart that could calm any angry person and lift up anyone who was ever sad.
If you knew Julian, you knew a kind and compassionate soul, a person whose approach was delivered with a peaceful calmness and one who always brought out the greater good in everyone he met. He was the strongest person I had known.
In the early hours of Saturday, November 5, 2016, in a city far away from home, my brother’s life was ended far too soon in the most tragic of ways. Our family was instantly robbed of a loving son and the best older brother anyone could ever wish for.
A young and bright man, full of life and dreams of graduating and being married were all silenced within an irreversible moment of pure hate and violence. Our family pledge is to carry on his honor and legacy by never forgetting his wish for peace and unity. However, most importantly our wish is to raise awareness to the world of this most heinous crime and to prevent this horrible tragedy from ever being repeated.
We will never forget all that he was, and Julian will continue to live in our hearts and in the hearts of those who were privileged enough to be touched by his compassion.
I lost my beloved mother in June 2012, and now my brother, and my only hope is to lay my dear brother to rest with a proper burial alongside of her.
On behalf of my family and close friends, I thank all of you who have pledged, and to all who have sent their love and support during this most difficult time.
