In dire straits after moving states

Donation protected

A few months ago, my best friend moved to a new state. Everything seemed fine: She had a stable job, and she saved up some money beforehand to cover any  emergency expenses after that. But right after she moved, she was suddenly laid off by her job. To make things doubly worse, she got into a car wreck that's put her car out of commision.

Without a job she can't afford rent or car repairs, and without a stable and functioning vehicle its exceedingly difficult to find and maintain a job.

She's tried asking her family for help, but they've left her hanging. I'm one of the only ones able to spare her some money in her time of need, but I sadly can't do it all by myself. I can give her some money for groceries or help supplement her rent whilst she does emergency art commissions to make rent, but I don't have much that I'm capable of giving.

So although asking  for money through crowdfunding is something she is far too shy to do on her own, I've personally made her a go fund me!

I've been doing all I can to help support her monetarily, but she really needs a large boost to get on her feet and unfortunately I'm strapped with too much student loan debt to do it all at once. Rent need to be paid every single month, alongside utility bills. Food is necessary to survive obviously, and prospective employees without a vehicle are unlikely to be hired.

I have been trying for months to see this beautiful girl smile again. She's funny and supportive, and I don't want her to ever feel like giving up. I've personally had to deal with unexpected moving expenses once before, in an eerily similar way: You think you have a job waiting for you but it goes up in smoke. You look around for other jobs but nobody is hiring. Your nest egg of moving money doesn't last nearly as long as you think it would. All of that stuff stacks up fast, and it gets overwhelming.

Nobody should have to go through that alone, so I'm trying to help her like my family and friends helped me when I moved!

If you've experienced such a thing before: Please, please help if you can. ANYTHING helps!
