My name is Saajid Lipham and I grew up in the state of Maryland.  I embraced Islam in 2008 and began formally studying the Arabic Language & Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia two years later in 2010.  I graduated from the University's Arabic Institute and am currently enrolled in the College of Inviting to Islam & Fundamentals of the Religion.

Before Islam, I graduated from Baltimore County's Stevenson University with a bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design.  I studied all general aspects of design from videography, graphics, and web design, to aesthetics, design theory, and fundamentals of design.

I hope that Ilmstitute will be a means through which I can utilize the skills I learned in regards to design & communication with what I have learned and experienced as a student of Islamic knowledge in the city of Madinah in order to help spread the message of Islam, and to share the experiences of a student of knowledge in this beloved city.

The content I produce is aimed at educating the masses regarding the truth of Islam in a time where there is so much misinformation and confusion.  If students such as myself, who are given the opportunity to study abroad and learn the religion from scholars, do not share what they are taught, it leaves voids for the uneducated to manipulate the religion and lead those without knowledge astray.  It is important that the true beauty of Islam be taught and expressed to everybody, both Muslims & non-Muslims alike.

The funds that are raised will be used to pay for the costs of producing such content, as it can be quite costly purchasing cameras, accessories, laptops, software, webspace, etc., not to mention the amount of time that one must invest to research, produce, and edit.
