Ian McDonald's Funeral costs

Ian McDonald was born on November 17th, 1996. He was an amazing individual with outstanding credentials that were supposed to push him far in life. Ian Mcdonald was a star player for the Erasmus Hall Dutchmen, a finals winning football team. He furthered his education in Criminal Justice and football career to Suny Morrisville. He was a Star student on and off the field. Ian had plans to take his education to Cuny John Jay for the next semester until his fatal accident. Ian McDonald's life was taken away from him when he was hit by a car while walking. The driver of the car drove off without informing anyone,Ian's body was found hours later. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ian was well rounded in his adolecense and had the charisma to attract many friends, family and loved ones within his short life. I met Ian when i was 15 years old in highschool. We became best friends one year later. He was always so encouraging to me and his peers no matter what our goals and past achievements were. Over the years, I had grew to percieve Ian as a older brother figure even though I was a few months older than him. Thats just the type of person Ian was. His ability to encourage everyone to further their skills went unmatched by a lot of people. His ability to help others was only his second best strongsuit. His ability to make others laugh was incredible. His smile was more infectious.
Although the pain that his peers feel are great, there are no words for what his parents are going through right now. I want to raise this money for Ian McDonald's mom to help her pay for the funeral costs. The cost to have a funeral is sadly very high and no single parent should have to burden that cost by themself. The funeral will take place within the next two weeks, hopefully this GoFundMe can take some of this burden off of his parents. an estimated time for the funeral is December 18th 2016. As soon as all of the money is raised, I will personally hand it to Ms. Udene (Ian's mother)
Anthony Telford is a family friend of Ms. Udene and a friend of Ian McDonald. He will be the person thats withdrawing all the money raised in Ms. Udene's name. The funds will be delivered to Ms. Udene in person, in cash or check form on the day of the funeral .
