Kimchi's Medical Funds
Donation protected
Kimchi is a 1 year old Jindo mix saved from dog meat farm, Farm 11, in South Korea by HSI (Humane Society International).
We adopted him, here in Canada last spring. He is the sweetest little boy but unfortunately has some health issues.
Kimchi has been diagnosed with being mostly blind, epileptic and having hyperextended limbs which makes it hard to walk sometimes.
When we adopted him we had been told he was blind and ha difficulty walking, but we only learned about his epilepsy afterwards. HSI had no idea and they were very helpful and offered us to send him back and get him to another family, but our hearts were already sold on him and there was no way we would "exchange" him even if he had a few more issues than anticipated.
Of course, we expected some costs associated with his condition, but his veterinary bills have been piling up quite fast due to trying to figure out the best medication combination for his issue.
Just today, as I am writing this, our bill was over 480$ for an exam, blood draw and medication. And this will be necessary every 3 months on top of his monthly medication which can be over 100$.
I know there are a lot of good causes out there, HSI being one of them, but if you would like to help support us in caring for Kimchi, every little bit helps and Kimchi and I will be forever grateful for your kindness.
you can follow his daily life and see his beautiful face over here on his instagram : https://www.instagram.com/iamkimchilo/
You can email me at [email redacted] for additional ways of donating like paypal, e-transfers, etc.
