Hello. My name is Anthony. Welcome to my GoFundMe page. First I must thank GoFundMe for allowing me the opportunity to tell my story. I am here because of my extraordinary wife Sonia . Her lifelong dream has always been to have her own restaurant. My Wife Sonia, has been cooking for people since she was a young girl growing up. She has dedicated herself and her life to learning various food preparations and designs and making people happy through food. Everything she makes or bakes is all done from scratch. Her specialty is naturally made food and beverages that are good for you and taste amazing.
I am very proud of my wife, her undefeated attitude, and her unbreakable spirit. Earlier this year (Mar 2014) she rented a small affordable shop in SC and began to serve the community with great food that was embraced and loved. Her customer base blossomed rapidly and the Business was off to a great start. Sadly, shortly after opening, she was forced to close shop. The city required expensive upgrades and installation of commercial equipment. We attempted to obtain some of these items on our own, but financially it was impossible. We needed a commercial Stove Hood, which was $15,000, stove $3,000, freezer $4,000 and the list kept getting bigger and bigger. There was no way we could afford it so we ended up closing.
It was devastating for my wife and I. This is not the first time she has pursued her dream and encountered roadblocks. She never gives up and has a heart of gold. Her wonderful personality brings a light to everyone she comes in contact with. Her food is made with love and people genuinely like being around her.
As a husband, I do side job from my regular job United Postal Services as a mail man, so things can be better and to surport my family we work hard together, but at this time we not in a possition to buy a food truck, and that is why we are here.
I was watching television one morning and saw how GoFundMe can help individuals that actually have the passion and drive to succeed. With a goal to make my wife's dream come alive I decided to turn to GoFundMe for help. I am hoping and praying my wife's Sonia dream can come true. Her aim now is to get a food truck that comes with everything in it which will allows her to serve the public in a broad way. This platform will allow her to do what she's best at. Reaching people through food, also most importantly to her is give back to the community and that is, the "HOMELESS". we all can agree we never know what tomorrow brings, today we are in a home, next day something went wrong, next we are "HOMELESS" that been said, her goal is to sponsor cook food to the HOMELESS on a sunday from the food truck sale of each week, this day is special to her, because on sunday most family meets and have dinner togather so; for them to be special and wordy and know someone still cares about them we choose sunday.
