What would you do if suddenly your world was flipped upside down? If everything you thought of as your safe place, the place you felt most protected, was taken away from you? How would you handle tragedy? Everyone always thinks "This couldn't happen to me"... until it does. The truth is, anything can happen to any of us in the blink of an eye. So what should we do when something bad happens in this world? We certainly can't ignore the needs of fellow human beings. We need to ban together, do everything we can to pick each other up, dust each other off and strengthen one another. We need to do the right thing and declare "I will help!"
This account is being created to help a beautiful family in need. In need of our help, our support and our love. We need to stand together and lift this family up, with prayers and financial assistance. On a normal Saturday, in a normal world, a family's life changed forever. No one ever expects tragedy to hit them. No one ever plans for such loss. But many have to, in a split second, make decisions and choices that will affect the rest of their lives. If a fire broke out in your home, what would you grab first? Your family? Your pets? A mother of 6 children, 3 of which have special needs, had to face these questions. Questions none of us want to face, but she had no choice. In a split second she had to make the right decision, grab her children and run out of a burning home. Thanks be to God that this mother was able to escape harm, along with all 6 children (ages- 24, 15, 12, 5 year old twins and a 4 year old). So what we are dealing with is a family that has been left homeless and has lost all of their belongings...A family that has had to deal with horrible situations that they didn’t deserve. Abuse on every level. Domestic violence is something we can no longer ignore. Please understand that this family has had enough, and we need to take it from here. This fund is being set up to assist this family in putting their lives back together. Picking them up, dusting them off, and holding their hands through this incredibly tough journey. To help them create a "new normal". Along with this account, we are in the process of putting together 3 separate fundraisers to help this family in their time of need.
