I have been married for almost 53 years and am a father of 5 and grandfather of 9.
I have had type 1 diabetes for nearly 50 years which has led to my receiving a new kidney over 4 years ago. I would like to give something back to charities who help people in my situation but as I suffer with a whole host of other illnesses, find I can't walk far, I certainly can't swim, so i thought I would use the ability that I do have and enjoy....DRIVING!
I have a classic car, a Montego left hand drive, and would like to use that to drive a circuit of 1850 miles starting at JCT 600 Volkswagon , Saxon Way, Priory Park West, Hessle. HU13 9BP. June 1st 9.30am. Over the Humber Bridge which I had a part in building... I was the first excavator digging the foundations for the north tower....details of route below.
I want to divide whatever I manage to raise between 4 charities.,

I have a route now and stoping places. if i have missed any where i will try to accommadate you. it's going to be 2nd of june.
Over the humer bridge A15 - M180 - SOUTH - A15 - A46 - A1 - A14 - M11 - Birchanger services (standstead airport) - M25 clockwise Clackett lane sercies. - M4 west - M5 SOUTH - Gordano services. - Exeter services. do a u turn. back up the M5 to go over the severn bridge, into Monmouth -Ross - on - wye - strensham services - up the M5 & M6 Stoping at Knutsford services. - southwaite services - Hamilton services. then round the south of Glasgow, over the Erskine bridge to the A82 and on to Fort William. - Inverness. Tesco 1A Eastfield way IV2 7GD Aberdeen - Dundee - perth - edinburgh will stop at a shell filling station. biggar road. EH13 9QR. 50 Dreghorn link. down the A1 to washing ton services. - M1 Woodhall services. Turn off on to A42 - M42. Tamworth services. go to the M6 . turn right. and then head north to the M62 and then head back home to Hull. i don't know how far i wil go. if i get a back i'll be ok.
