Update: I know it says started 29 months ago. I had made a joke GoFundMe around December 2014, but never posted it. I couldn't figure out how to delete it and start a new one, so I simply edited it, not realizing it would say that it was posted that long ago.
My mother, Teresa, has had Polycystic Kidney Disease for as long as I can remember, but as of February 2016, she also has Polycistic Liver Disease, due to the former.
In February, July, and September, she was sick for the majority of the months due to her liver, to the point of being unable to move without crying from the pain or overheating from the fever. In September, the doctors at Womack Army Medical Center finally found the problem, and sent her to specialists at UNC Chapel Hill.
Her liver is currently 50% cists, and she needs surgery to have it removedl. The recovery for this surgery, according to the doctors, is 6 weeks of bedrest.
My employer has already okayed me taking 6 weeks off when mom needs me to, but I would need to save up for the rest of the year before I could afford to take the time off.
It would mean the absolute world to me if I could do this for my mother, because she sacrified so much for me as a child, even though I did not appreciate it at the time.
Even now, my mother is sacrificing her health so that she can take care of Chloe, because she can't afford the alternative.
Please, give me the ability to take care of her and my sister, so that she can take the surgery. The doctors say the surgery needs to happen as soon as possible, to avoid another episode, but she's sacrificing herself to take care of her daughter.
I've yet to make much of a name for myself, and I have even been a burden on her through the years. So please... Please, help me to help her.
UPDATE: Mom has to get both a kidney and a liver transplant. She's slowly but surely losing weight, had another flare-up in February, and isn't in a condition to work, so money is tight. Please, help her.
