Help Rebuild FAN Wireless LLC
Me, Nebeyou Teffera and my partner, Frew Arega, have been business partners for four years. We own a small business called FAN Wireless LLC, a cell phone store located at 9995 W. Florissant, Dellwood MO 63136 inside a Mobil gas station.
We are originally from Ethiopia and have made St. Louis our home for a long time. As small business owners we hoped to create a good foundation and opportunities for growth in order to support our families and the community.
Since beginning our business in 2010 we enjoyed growing our business and getting to know the residents in the Ferguson and surrounding communities. On a typical day, Ferguson is a peaceful place which we were comfortable doing business in.
Our street, W. Florissant, has been the site of many protests and civil disorder that began after the fatal shooting of Michael Brown. Our business has been broken into twice within the span of three months. In August, after the first break in, we tried to continue business as usual with recovered items. Unfortunately, even though we boarded up our store after the announcement of the non-indictment, our store was broken into a second time. The display cases and computer were smashed and the register and inventory were stolen. This time the damages were too great.
Currently we have closed our store, and we do not have the means to continue serving the community. We have to replace all display shelves, phones, phone accessories, computer set, cash registers, and other miscellaneous items in order to re-open. This has created tremendous hardship on our families as well as our customers. We would like to rebuild and continue serving Ferguson and the surrounding communities.
In order to do this we need your help. We have created this page so you can help us repair the significant damage, and help us re-open our store. These events have tested our faith, but we keep our eyes on God and trust that He will provide the means through people. As always we appreciate your support.
